Searching the island in vain for his drowned son Ferdinand, the King soon finds himself confronted with a direful spectacle in the form of a Harpy. Accused of turning a blind eye to the murders of Prospero and his daughter, the king despairs and determines to drown himself and join his son beneath the waves.
